Her Story
Bred by Cartier Siberians, Cartier Emerald Raine represents one of the most carefully planned pedigrees in my breeding program.
She combines generations of my own Cartier bloodlines through her dam, Cartier Emerald Alexandrite, with thoughtfully selected Russian and early North American Siberian bloodlines through Wintermist River. River was chosen not simply because of his individual qualities, but because his pedigree reconnects my program with many of the influential breeders and bloodlines that helped establish the Siberian breed in TICA during its earliest years.
For me, this breeding was never about adding a single famous cat. It was about preserving history. Behind Emerald Raine are decades of carefully selected bloodlines from catteries such as Sibano, Pyramid, EmeraldForest, Windrifter, Starpoint, Sibaris, and Neva’s Legend—bloodlines that played an important role in the early development of the Siberian breed in North America and continue to influence my breeding program today.
Every generation should move a breeding program forward while respecting the generations that came before. Emerald Raine represents that philosophy.
Her Legacy
Emerald Raine’s legacy is still being written.
She represents the continuation of one of the most carefully developed maternal families in my breeding program while preserving generations of thoughtfully selected Russian and North American Siberian bloodlines. Every generation behind her reflects years of planning, and Emerald Raine carries forward work that began long before she was born.
Her purpose extends beyond producing kittens. She represents the opportunity to preserve valuable genetic diversity while laying the foundation for future generations that unite these historic bloodlines with the distinctive Cartier type I have spent years developing.
Whether through her own descendants or the generations that follow, I hope Emerald Raine helps preserve the health, temperament, traditional Siberian type, and genetic diversity that have guided my breeding program for nearly two decades.
Looking Forward
Emerald Raine has not yet produced her first litter.
After generations of carefully planned outcrosses, Emerald Raine provides the opportunity to bring these bloodlines back together through a planned breeding to Cartier Arman Koral. My hope is that this pairing will reunite the qualities I have spent years preserving through Cartier Alexei Romanov while maintaining the health, genetic diversity, and carefully selected Russian bloodlines introduced along the way.
Every generation has been planned with this long-term vision in mind—not simply to produce beautiful Siberians, but to establish a consistent Cartier type that is immediately recognizable. My goal is that, over time, people will be able to look at one of my cats and simply say,
“That’s a Cartier Siberian.”
