Her Story
Cieloch Sierra joins Dainah Rico Siberians through an unexpected opportunity and the generosity of my longtime friend, Gail Best of Wintermist Siberians. Bred by Lin Mao of Cieloch Siberians in China and later imported to the United States by Gail, Sierra represents years of thoughtful breeding and careful selection. I am honored to continue the legacy of the breeding program that produced her while beginning the next chapter of her story here.
From the first time I saw her, I admired far more than her beautiful silver torbie markings. Sierra possesses the substantial, barrel-bodied structure, beautiful green eyes, rounded muzzle, balanced profile, correct ear set, and sweet expression that define the classic Siberian I strive to preserve. Her correct coat, harmonious proportions, and exceptionally gentle temperament complete the picture of a breeding female whose strengths extend far beyond her appearance.
Although Sierra was bred half a world away, her journey reflects what I love most about the Siberian community. Great breeding programs are built through friendships, trust, and a shared commitment to preserving the breed. I am deeply grateful to Gail for entrusting her to me, and equally thankful to Lin Mao for the breeding program that produced such an exceptional cat.

Sierra represents something every long-term breeding program eventually needs: thoughtfully selected new blood.
While preserving established bloodlines remains essential, carefully chosen international outcrosses are equally important to maintaining health, genetic diversity, and the long-term future of the breed. Sierra brings exceptional international bloodlines that complement my established Cartier Siberians breeding program while preserving the qualities I value most—correct Siberian type, balance, temperament, substance, and overall harmony.
Every exceptional cat is the result of years of thoughtful breeding decisions. Sierra is no exception. Bred by Lin Mao of Cieloch Siberians, her pedigree reflects generations of careful selection and dedication to the Siberian breed. By welcoming Sierra into Cartier Siberians, I hope to honor Lin Mao’s contribution while continuing the legacy she began. I am equally grateful to Gail Best of Wintermist Siberians for entrusting Sierra to me and allowing her story to continue here.
