His Story
Jukagir’s journey to my breeding program began with my longtime friend, Gail Best of Wintermist Siberians. Gail imported him from Ukraine after selecting him from the breeding program of Irina Suleymanova of Siberian Sapphire, recognizing the quality of his traditional silver bloodlines and exceptional potential.
In 2025, Kochana joined Gail’s breeding program with the shared hope that she would eventually be bred to Jukagir, allowing me to bring a silver kitten from that pairing back into my own breeding program.
Sometimes, even the best breeding plans take an unexpected turn.
When Gail made the difficult decision to close her cattery, she generously offered me the opportunity to purchase Jukagir and welcome Kochana home, along with the beautiful silver female, Cieloch Sierra. It was an unexpected opportunity that I will always be grateful for.
While shown by Gail in the United States, Jukagir earned his TICA Grand Champion title and was recognized as the 2022–2023 TICA Best Black Silver Mackerel Tabby of the Year. Those accomplishments affirmed the quality Gail recognized in him from the beginning and made the opportunity to bring him into my own breeding program even more meaningful.
Today, Jukagir represents the return of traditional silver bloodlines to my cattery. His substantial bone, broad ear base with well-balanced ears, balanced type, and affectionate temperament complement nearly two decades of carefully developed Cartier and DainahRico bloodlines while helping shape the next generation of my breeding program.

His Legacy
Every breeding cat brings unique strengths to a program. Jukagir contributes traditional silver bloodlines, substantial bone, a broad ear base with well-balanced ears, and a gentle temperament that complement the established type I have carefully developed through nearly two decades of Cartier and Dainah Rico breeding.
His influence is about more than reintroducing the silver color. He brings valuable genetic diversity while preserving the balance, expression, and overall Siberian type that have guided my breeding decisions for nearly two decades. His accomplishments in the show ring further reinforce the quality that first led Gail to select him and, ultimately, made him such a meaningful addition to my own breeding program.
I have never believed in reproducing a single cat. Instead, my goal has always been to thoughtfully combine the strengths of each generation—preserving what has been built while making careful improvements for the future. Jukagir represents an important part of that continuing process.
Looking Forward
Jukagir’s first kittens for Cartier Siberians and Dainah Rico Siberians are expected soon, and I look forward to seeing how his qualities combine with the bloodlines I have spent nearly twenty years developing.
My hope is not simply to produce beautiful silver kittens, but to preserve the traditional Siberian characteristics that first drew me to the breed—balanced type, substantial bone, expressive heads, broad ear bases with well-balanced ears, and the affectionate temperament that makes Siberians such remarkable companions.
Every generation teaches something new. I believe Jukagir will play an important role in shaping the next chapter of my breeding program, and I look forward to watching his descendants carry these carefully selected bloodlines into the future.
